Based in Seattle, WA, the Law Office of Mark B. Saku PLLC prides itself on providing affordable and comprehensive legal representation in intellectual property, media and sports law. Our legal team offers a broad scope of legal services and counsel in music, film, arts, literature, fashion, media and technology, sports, business and nonprofit industries.

Our Team


Mark B. Saku, Esq.


Mark B. Saku, Esq. is a Seattle based attorney whose practice focuses on providing legal resources to content creators seeking to develop their work into self-sustaining business models. Mark received his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law with a focus in Intellectual Property. His practice centers on legal issues affecting the entertainment industry, content and media licensing, business development, copyright and trademark law. His recent work involves: contract negotiation involving media distribution and music publishing; legal counsel in the use of copyrighted images in live performances; and legal assistance in the development and negotiation of small business development and content licensing. 

In addition to his legal practice, Mark has been invited to speak on guest panels discussing the negotiation of entertainment industry contracts, as well as the protection of licensed content. A dedicated and active contributor in the community, Mark is the current Northwest Chapter Chair of the Copyright Society of the U.S.A., and is also a member and sponsor of the Washington Lawyers for the Arts, Northwest Chapter of NARAS and various local community arts organizations.
While in law school, he sat for two years as president of the Entertainment and Sports Law Association and was an active board member for the Moot Court Board. There, Mark facilitated several networking functions highlighting current legal issues affecting music, film and sports.
Mark received his undergraduate degree from Sonoma State University, graduating with a major in philosophy and a minor in recording arts. As a singer-songwriter, Mark played numerous live shows in Northern California and was actively involved in organizing live music events in Sonoma County and San Francisco before moving to the Pacific Northwest.
